Safety Harness Seat Belt Attachments
Because the safety of our rescue dogs is a major concern, in addition to a new collar, id tag, leash and harness, Boston Buddies provides every one of its rescue dogs with a nylon safety seat belt leash from Guardian Gear.
The seat belt leash hooks onto your dog’s harness (never use this with a collar!) and then plugs into the seat belt receptacle in your car. Many of our adopters have never seen them and often ask where they can get additional seat belt leashes for their other four-legged family members. Boston Buddies purchases the seat belt leashes from Pet Edge – Pet Edge Safety Harness They come in a variety of colors and lengths – they even have a style for cats! Many pet stores also carry other versions of car safety restraint systems for your pet – some of which hook into the metal car seat hook found in most newer model cars, leaving the seat belt receptacle available for the two-legged passengers! Whichever form of safety restraint you choose for your furry family member, Boston Buddies encourages you to provide for their safety in the car.
A Few of our Favorite Vets
Boston Buddies could not help the number of dogs that we do without the care and assistance of our rescue friendly vets located throughout Southern California. These veterinarians and the staff in all of their offices are instrumental in our efforts. We thank them all!

Dogs By Reusch
www.dogsbyreusch.com
The wonderful artist and friend of Boston Buddies, Mr. Reusch’s new all-dog website.
Mr. Reusch generously donated the well known logo we use for Boston Buddies. And in 2006 he spearheaded a fundraising program wherein he created a series of four 11x14 paintings showing a Boston Terrier running through the seasons.
Four times that year Mr. Reusch sent a signed-and-numbered art print from the series to the first ten generous donors who pledged $100 or more to Boston Buddies.

Mr. Reusch's site includes a wonderful gallery of dog art, many featuring his own two Boston Terriers, Frankenstein and Mr. Giles (a Hurricane Katrina refugee). Although his favorite dogs to paint are Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs and Pugs, you can commission him to paint dogs of all breeds.
All of us at Boston Buddies thank Mr. Reusch!

Boarding Facilities
We receive many inquiries from people asking us to recommend a boarding facility for their dogs when they leave town. As the number of dogs coming through our rescue continues to increase each year, it has become necessary for Boston Buddies to board some of our rescue dogs when we have no foster homes available. While there are many wonderful boarding facilities to choose from, we can recommend the following places as we have used them for our rescue dogs. These facilities are rescue friendly and have allowed us to board our rescue dogs at a reduced rescue rate and for that we are extremely grateful. We want to return the favor by letting you know about them and encouraging you to consider them the next time you need to board your dog!
